Mississippi Celebrating 200 Years

On December 10, 1817, Mississippi was officially recognized as the 20th state in the United States of America. In 2017 the state will have the unique opportunity to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Mississippi’s statehood with a reflection on Mississippi’s history and culture.
The Black History Museum invites all of McComb School District Staff and Students to visit the Black History Museum to commemorate our state 200 Anniversary.

Family Guides for Student Success to Support Parents

The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) developed family guides to assist with grade-level at home strategies and activities that support both student and parent understanding of the English language arts and mathematics standards. Parents can use the activity booklets at home to support what their children are learning in the classroom.

One-size-fits-all never really does, especially in —sometimes you need to personalize. McComb School District in Mississippi decided to implement a program to transform students into scholars using personalized learning. They turned to Scantron for assessments that meet students where they are and provide evidence-based connections to help them get to where they should be.
