Business and Technology Complex - Robert Biggs, Vocational Director

Robert Biggs  The McComb School District's Business and Technology Complex (BTC) is unlocking possibilities and redesigning education for the 21st century workforce in Mississippi by augmenting our extensive educational curriculum with hands-on skills that will increase opportunities for our students.

Our vision, combined with appropriate strategies, is to prepare students to be productive members of society. This will ultimately benefit not only students, but also our community, state, and nation. We believe strongly that this time in our students' lives is to be used to prepare them for the rest of their lives, helping them become productive and prosperous.

At the Business and Technology Complex, we offer many skill sets that will help reach this goal

SATP Practice Test The Mississippi Student Achievement Improvement Act, approved by the Mississippi Senate in 1999, states that standards for high school graduation shall include student "mastery of minimum academic skills as measured by assessments developed and administered by the State Board of Education".

To meet the intent of this legislation, four subjects area tests were developed: Algebra I, Biology I, U.S. History, and English II with a writing component. Students earning a high school diploma must pass all four subject area tests to meet graduation requirements.

All the online testing resources for the SATP2 can be found here, including guides for parents and teachers, information on best practices, review templates and practice tests.
